Plastique - Lips - Single Review

Review by Tom Coombs

The last time the London based Trio fronted by Anelise Kunz hit my radar was with single ‘Quake’ and they are back on my playlist of joy with new single ‘Lips’.

The song is what is expected from Plastique, it is a hard hitting electro rock behemoth of a song. The heavy distorted guitar and heavy electro beats come together to form a basis for the phenomenal vocals of Anelise which hold this sound barrier smashing, gritty hit track together.

Like ‘Quake’ this song hits you everywhere it should but lets you walk away wanting more, plus it could be straight from the soundtrack of The Matrix, please someone pass me my long Neo jacket thanks, and some guns, lots and lots of guns.

The electro smashed up chorus that repeats through at the end of the song is just a great finish, and the outstanding base line running throughout the track could not be better.

‘Lips’ by this phenomenal band ‘Plastique’ is out on the 13th of November so not long to wait but do go and check it out below.

4 Stars - Max single rating, another smash to the face of a hit! This track is taking no prisoners.
