The Hubbards – Just Touch – Single Review

Review by Tom Coombs

From Hull in the UK comes ‘The Hubbards’ and their new single ‘Just Touch’.  It is a true indie rock gem which really showcases the music scene coming from this part of the UK.

Do you remember all the music that came from Manchester and above in England in the nineties which soon gave way to the American style of music, well now Hull is fighting back and to complement the other bands coming from the area is The Hubbards.  The four piece band comprises of Reuben Driver – Vocals and Bass, Alex Green – Guitar and vocals, Ronan Burns – Guitar and Joe Orlowski – Drums and they have created the classic rock music that I loved when younger and it is really a great thing to have it back and growing stronger all the time.

This new release by The Hubbards is fun, informative and infectious, the rolling guitars, simple beats and rhythms have a retro feel with the vocals hitting a more modern rock feel.  In all this a great hit onto my radar and I hope others. The single is available now here on iTunes.

4 Stars – UK Music is getting stronger and is coming straight outta Hull
